Kaliens is a research-led media collective that turns sociopolitical questions into games, interactive journalism, and immersive exhibitions.
Named from "Korean" and "Aliens," the studio explores media as a structure for coexistence, shaped by a sense of cultural estrangement.
Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, Kaliens creates media experiences that expand perception, rethink interspecies relations, and engage social and ethical complexity.

Game Director & Developer
Min is an interdisciplinary game designer and creative technologist specializing in Unity (C#), interactive systems, and narrative-driven design. Her work spans games, performance, and digital art, often transforming social and ecological issues into meaningful player experiences. She has directed projects from concept to publication, securing multiple national arts grants and presenting her work in international exhibitions. Min graduated from Korea National University of Arts, studied at the Royal College of Art, and is currently a Fulbright Scholar pursuing a Master’s in Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University.

민(Min)은 유니티(C#), 인터랙티브 시스템, 내러티브 중심의 디자인을 다루는 다학제적 게임 디자이너이자 크리에이티브 테크놀로지스트입니다. 그녀의 작업은 게임, 퍼포먼스, 디지털 아트 등 다양한 매체를 넘나들며, 사회적·생태적 이슈를 플레이어들이 공감할 수 있는 의미 있는 경험으로 풀어냅니다. 초기 기획부터 퍼블리싱까지 프로젝트 전반을 디렉팅해왔으며, 다수의 국가 예술 기금을 지원받고 국제 전시에서 작품을 선보였습니다. 한국예술종합학교를 졸업한 후 영국 왕립예술학교(RCA)에서 수학했으며, 현재 풀브라이트 장학생으로 카네기멜론대학교 ETC(Entertainment Technology Center) 석사 과정에 재학 중입니다.
Art Director, Designer & Researcher
Avis holds a master's degree from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. She previously worked as an art director at the international advertising agency TBWA for over four years, while continuing to exhibit and develop personal projects across Singapore, France, U.K, U.S., Korea, and Dubai. Her practice explores the conditions of human life in contemporary society through media as a medium for coexistence, diversity, and relational awareness. She focuses on the design of form, structure, and context in which media operates.

예윤은 영국 왕립예술학교(RCA)에서 석사 과정을 마쳤으며, 이전에는 미국계 광고회사 TBWA에서 크리에이티브로 4년 넘게 근무해오는 동시에 싱가포르, 프랑스, 영국, 미국, 한국, 두바이 등지에서 전시와 개인 작업을 이어오며, 현대 사회에서의 인간 존재와 삶의 방식을 미디어를 통해 탐구해왔습니다. 예윤은 미디어를 단순한 오락 매체가 아니라, 공존과 차이의 인식, 관계 형성을 가능하게 하는 매개로 바라보며, 그 형식과 구조, 그리고 작동하는 맥락의 설계에 주목합니다.
